Membership

  • Expert members, who are industry veterans and domain experts from all around the world, make up the core of the Acceleration Co-op community.
  • Acceleratee members are people or businesses who want to harness that expertise in some way.
  • Ecosystem members play a vital role by connecting the Acceleration Co-op with the wider innovation and business ecosystems.

 Membership includes experts, acceleratees and ecosystem members

Acceleratees can interact with Acceleration Co-op experts at differing "depths of engagement", ranging from online engagement with the "crowd of experts" to in-depth, one-on-one interactions with expert members. Acceleratee members can select from several different Interaction packages depending on their needs.

Expert membership

Expert members have deep domain expertise in either a specific market vertical, or an area of technology, or are deeply experienced business executives (criteria on right). We welcome applications from qualified experts.

Acceleratee membership

Acceleratee members are described as either personal acceleratees or portfolio acceleratees, depending on whether they wish to interact with the Acceleration Co-op about one business, or about a portfolio of businesses.

  • Personal acceleratee members are the leaders or managers of a business who want to access the expertise of our community. Typical examples are CxO level executives; Founders of new ventures; General managers of large company business units; Independent directors; Entrepreneurs.
  • Portfolio acceleratee members have similar goals to personal members, but are responsible for multiple businesses not just one. They include investors (venture and professional angels), technology transfer executives, and others who are responsible for a portfolio of businesses (or research projects) and who believe they can benefit from access to the Acceleration Co-op expert community.

 

Ecosystem members

Ecosystem members are people active and interested in growing businesses, or creating businesses, or commercializing technology, but who do not fit the definitions of acceleratees or experts. Ecosystem members include lawyers, accountants, investment bankers, governmental policy makers responsible for encouraging economic growth through innovation, and academics interested in growth and innovation.

We encourage ecosystem members to participate in the community, and help their clients and stakeholders grow by introducing them to the Acceleration Co-op. Ecosystem members are eligible to earn participation fees.

Interaction packages for acceleratees

  • Basic membership is free for all acceleratees, allowing you to explore the community, and see who our experts are. 
  • Premium interaction packages (not free) allow you to interact more deeply and privately with our "crowd of experts".
  • The "advisor connections" membership feature enables you to escalate to a one-on-one interaction with a specific expert, if you (and they) both wish to engage deeper.
  • Services describe some of the ways Acceleration Co-op can help you.

 

Earn fees by activating "financial participation"

Expert and acceleratee members can activate the "financial participation" feature (at no cost). Participating members can earn fees proportional to their level of activity in Acceleration Co-op.
