Self-certified experts
We accept self-certified experts based on a subjective assessment of responses to the questions in the registration form, and on the expert's background and experience, as described in a publicly available biography (for example, their LinkedIn profile). This is the first level of the "filter" we use to try and ensure our experts are really experts. It helps, but is not essential, to be referred by an existing member.
New expert members are initially assigned to this category. You are automatically a self-certified expert if you registered as an expert member of the Acceleration Co-op (for example if you are now logged in as an expert). Self-certified experts can:
Foundation member experts
The initial pre-launch expert members are "foundation members".
Peer-certified experts
In addition to passing the expertise screen we use to approve self-certified experts, peer-certified experts need to have attained a high level of peer-recognition of their expertise.
Advisor-level experts
These are peer-certified experts who have the experience and stature to participate in advisory boards of companies.
Dual membership
If you want to be an expert member, and at the same time be able to interact with the other experts in a "acceleratee" role, you can have a dual membership.
