I am a nationally recognized expert in the area of clean energy. I have more than twenty years of experience in project development and policy analysis, among other areas. I am a two time winner of the Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management. I hold an MBA from the Haas School of Business and a PhD from the Energy & Resources Group at U.C. Berkeley. I have published more than 30 papers and have given more than 100 invited presentations in my field.

Member was a senior advisor in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for three years spanning two Administrations and focused on Commercialization and Deployment of technologies born out of DOE National Laboratories. Member has deep experience in technology transfer and an extensive Washington, D.C. network. This member led Recovery Act tax credits and grants for renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Prior to government experience, this member was a partner in start-up water technology firms. This member also served as consultant to telecom start-ups. In addition, this member has extensive experience in security and intelligence.
